Purchasing classics there

It is almost breathtaking to see so many status-defining old-timers and classics in completely new condition in his 'gourmet palace' at the tip of Overijssel: Oldemarkt. Robert Visser must have a gift to be able to track down so many special cars. The variety of models from days gone by is almost impossible to describe.

Among all that shiny steel there are of course also some mass-produced cars such as the VW Beetle, the Citroën 2 CV, Fiat 500, NSU Prinz, but for the most part they are 'A wonderful variety of collectable and working cars'. How about: Jaguars, Aston Martin, Ferrari, Austin Healey, Mercedes-Benz, Alfa Romeo, MG and Lancia.

Lancia Appia series 3

We are happy to let Robert tell the story of this special car himself. Robert: “This is a very rare appearance with the sought-after 4 hp V48 engine. Vincenco Lancia was first a racing driver for Fiat, then a constructor. He was not officially an engineer, but he introduced many innovations to the automotive industry. As with the 1923 Lambda, with monocoque structure, hydraulic brakes and independent front suspension. For years, Lancia had sedan models in its range, from large to small. The Astura and the Augusta, the Aprilia and the Ardea, the Aurelia and the Appia. Later the Flavia and the Fulvia were added. Model names that sound like music to the ears of the connoisseur.”

Special class with its own face

Robert continues: “The style of this beautiful masterpiece was inspired by the Aurelia and was produced in three series from 1953. The third series was launched in 1959 and featured a modern rectangular grille instead of the traditional Lancia 'shield'. The design came from the Flaminia introduced in 1957. Access is very easy due to the lack of the B pillar.”

In excellent condition

This magnificent Lancia Appia was exported from Italy to the Netherlands more than 29 years ago. A considerable amount has been invested in recent years. The maintenance was provided by a very well-known German Lancia specialist (B & F Touring garage) of which many invoices are present with the car. In short: The photos prove it, a beautiful blue color combination, with a tasteful interior.

'Incredible' is the key word. You get slightly dizzy, your knees shake when you see all these classic delicacies, each of them beautifully shaped and executed. The outspoken classic enthusiasts with a broad taste can fully enjoy the offer here during a visit.
