Good news: the December issue is already at the printer. Even better news: with the wet and cold days ahead, it has become a nice summer song. No less than three convertibles adorn the cover and two Baja Bugs, with which you can already look forward to the next holiday. Read on quickly and click on the image at the end of this article for a preview of the December issue and something to read.

Practice

The beautiful bright green Fiat X1/9 is the result of an intensive restoration. Owner Henk Janssen sacrificed three years of his spare time, roughly translated about 2000 hours, to get this beautiful car in this condition. In this issue you will find an extensive restoration report. Henk is delighted with it: "This Fiat with its 1300 block is not a powerhouse, but the kart feeling of the past comes back completely, especially with the roof off."
The article of the MG MGA is also a practical article. An excellent guideline that you should pay attention to if you want to add an MG MGA to your collection and look at different suppliers. The MGA is really a breathtaking beauty. Pure classic driving pleasure and the simple, fairly solid technology. The entrance is not easy financially, but after that the great fun begins.

Adventure

Isn't it the ultimate pleasure for us classic lovers? On an adventure with your own classic, a beautiful trip through Europe or even further? Egbert and Roy did it, spending their vacation with a no-budget trip through the sandiest and most mountainous parts of Europe. Roy even took it up a notch with the trip the year before, bought his Baja Bug in Australia, then spent a year traveling across the vast country. “Before you lies a story about adventurer's blood, beetle love and wonderful encounters,” writes Erik van Putten.

Original or originality?

The Aston Martin Lagonda is a special classic. An unusual design and you have to go deep enough in your pockets for it before you can even buy one. Harry Kielstra does not have one, but a whole collection. He puts his creativity and technical knowledge into his cars. Purists might shudder, but Harry makes his own creations from his Lagondas. The cover will surely warm you up with the Volante, Harry made an open version of it himself. And so he also made a 'Shooting Brake'.
The Yamaha RD350LC from 1981 is also no longer original. The now legendary qualities of the classic had enchanted Günter, the owner of our fashion model, very early on. After a year or two of running around and daily transportation, Günter thought it was time to take care of his toy. He thought that the engine should be a bit faster and should also look fast. So he got on with it. A beautiful original from the time, which after its wild years stood as an ornament in the living room and is only allowed outside on nice days.
Theo Terwel hasn't been caught wearing blue and white underwear yet, but BMWs are deep in his genes. And if you do have your own company, then you just make your dream bike, right? So that became the Helmut Dähne R90S replica. The engine was recreated in detail. The result was so successful that number two soon followed and number three is already in the planning.
