That can be discussed. Theus, the man who made this amphibian, still has a whole bunch of former British two-door Range Rovers. So his perfectly executed action to make an 1971'er Range Rover amphibious is not comparable to cutting a piece of cloth from the Night Watch because someone happens to need a handkerchief.
The idea was born because Theus has a preference for amphibians, found the specimens offered too expensive or too bad, and simply because he likes to think up and make things. He mounted a new 300TDI engine thirty centimeters back, screwed in an R 380 bucket with PTO. The water drive is done with a Dowty jet with a driving power of 5000 N. www.jetranger.nl
Hello!
Are these vehicles still for sale and if so where. I live as the crow flies 8 kilometers from my work but have to 35 km. drive because of a lake between my home and work. Hence this question.
Ingrid
I don't know Ingrid. But Teus's web address is there.
Quite a nice idea, and oh well, it doesn't hurt anyone. always better than verkeerd afgelopen
