Purchasing classics there

Should a youngtimer be about originality or not factory original, but adapted to personal taste? Lammert has lowered his green hobby car 3 centimeters with yellow Koni's and RS GT BBS rims mounted. He has owned the beautiful BMW of the "3 er series" for 18 years now and has only driven 40.000 in that period. (The BMW 328i Coupé from 1995 now has a total of 150.000 km.) That is partly the reason that the car is impeccable in every respect, especially since it is only allowed outside when the weather is dry and sunny.

Striving for perfection

This is reflected in Lammert's BMW 328i Coupé, and is completely in line with what he considers important. In his work in the alignment company, he always has to dot the i's and he strives for high quality. That's healthy perfectionism! Passionately coveted by many, but ridden by few. The real BMW driver knows the typical features that make driving great.

Romance?

Lammert: “I can still be delighted when I look at the BMW 328i Coupé and I can devote all my attention and love(?) to it. The driving characteristics are superior, supreme reliability. Despite the fact that there is a restriction on the engine, I managed to reach a top speed of 220 km per hour in a safe way. My BMW Coupé is a powerful, 6-cylinder version with a manual gearbox, which gives it dynamism. For me, the BMW has something special, it feels good when you hear the wonderfully whirring engine. What dominates for me is the driving pleasure. Besides, who invented the much-used catchphrase "Freude am fahren?"

  1. Typically a car that needs to mature, at least for me. Didn't like it back in the day, brash, hats, etc. Now I'd love to have one! Beautiful roofline, perfectly balanced design.

  2. Does it have the option 'flashing lights'…. and do these work? Because that would make this BMW truly unique. 🙂

  3. Great car the E36, never had a 328 but a 318
Tds, 320i and an M3, I especially enjoyed the last 2 a lot, they both had a high fun content in their own way. Now have an E46 330i. But the E36 really gives MORE FUN!!!

  4. Fraude am Fahren = produced by the VW concern. Partly because of their exact marketing war, aimed at the youth, who are only too happy to fall for it.
Nice BMW, but unfortunately I see one launched against a tree almost every week. Must bring sad parents. Is it time to introduce a 50 hp policy until about 30 years old. Saves us a lot of insurance premiums

  5. Beautiful E36 - was maligned for a while after that light and tight driving E30 but the survivors are now often cherished. Keep it nice please.
