A Pan Head is quite a rare engine. And at the time, they weren't even those extremely good engines compared to the competition at the time.
A Pan is also expensive to score now. A beautifully reborn Pan can cost as little as 25000 euros. And what if a brand new copy can be bought for $ 20000? In the States? There, kits are offered with which - it is said - a Pan can be built for 98% from new, OEM parts. Okay: with S&S crankcases and an S&S carburettor ... And some more updates to make the machine better and more reliable.
But for the eye? To the eye it is a very real one. So just do it. The supplier assembles it himself in two days but he promises his customers that the business is fixed with a maximum of six quiet weekends ...
The restored Pan Head can just keep sleeping in the living room

I had such a thing for 1 year but in a knucklehead version from 1947. I bought it for 1500 guilders and a year later I sold it for 1500 guilders, I thought I would have done well then (1968).
But then you also come to the point that there are many who use a panhead or a knucklehead for decaying projects.
I regret that, this should not be allowed!
This looks great!
