A true European premiere is taking place in the Isarforum in Munich. On July 14, the capital of Bavaria will kick off the exhibition "Letters to Andy Warhol". The project cannot be viewed separately from the American Cadillac, which has always been a source of inspiration for the artist. The exhibition lasts until 31 August.

The public will see a unique exhibition in Munich. The exhibition focuses on rarely seen letters from the archives of the Warhol Museum, written to or by Andy Warhol.  Letters to Andy Warhol has its origins in a collaborative project between Cadillac and the Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Partly for this reason, the illustrious American car brand will play an important role in southern Germany.

Son of John Lennon

The exhibition will have a varied character. A special feature of this exhibition is the interpretation given to the letters by well-known visual artists, designers and musicians. One of them is Sean Lennon, the son of Beatle John Lennon. Exhibitions from couturier Yves Saint Laurent, Rolling Stones icon Mick Jagger and the Museum of Modern Art are also included.

Inseparable from Cadillac

Andy Warhol's special relationship with Cadillac is also reflected in a number of works. They are of course exhibited. The works Four Male Customed Full Figures and Cars (1950), Cadillac (1962), Seven Cadillacs (1962) and Sign (Keep Out) (1976 - 1986) enhance the exhibition in Munich.

Cadillac House in Munich

The works of art and the letters to Warhol play an important role. And because of the bond between the artist and the American car brand, the Cadillac House will be opened within the former cinema site on the Isarforum. There is already such a ban in New York. Following the American model, there will also be room in Germany for numerous cultural activities. Visitors will also be able to see two impressive classic Cadillac models from the rich history of the American brand. You also get a glimpse into the current model portfolio, which is shown in different ways (1: 1, 3D technology).
