Purchasing classics there

The theme of the Facebook photo competition in July and August was the detail that characterizes a classic. There were several nice entries of which you have a report in number 10 of Auto Motor Klassiek can find. XYZ Imaging sponsored these months and made a nice report of the presentation of the main prize. By the way, we are always looking for nice prizes to distribute and sponsors who want to help in this are always welcome and receive, as a thank you, a lot of publicity on our Facebook page, which now also has over 35.000 fans.

Curious looking around the cousins Roger and Guido Muijrers walk into the studio of XYZ-Imaging (www.xyz-imaging.com) in Den Bosch. Outside, the Ford Taunus 12 M Coupe from Roger is still on the trailer, first they want to see where the ride from their home town of Valkenburg aan de Geul has brought them.

While Tom Sanders, the technical manager of XYZ, admires the point gift Taunus admiringly, Roger and Guido gaze at the studio equipment. "If I had known this, I would have been here much earlier," says Roger.

And that while Roger knows what photography is. His detailed photo of the Taunus received the most likes and with that he won the photo competition in August Auto Motor Klassiek. With a photo session at XYZ-Imaging as the main prize.

When the green Ford is maneuvered in the right place in the studio, Roger lovingly wipes away some greasy fingers. The session can begin. The Ford stands on a slowly revolving stage under an arch with dozens of photo cameras. Simultaneous clicks of 25 cameras every few seconds. Just listen if you can hear them ... and yes. This is how 2400 images are made. It takes a while, about 8 minutes, before they are all loaded into the computer. And after that the PC is still running for a few hours on merging all those images into the end product: a movable 3D photo. The original Taunus can be viewed from all sides, including from above. Roger chooses the 3D photo for his fixed computer and as an app for his iPad: nice to show with.

The Limburg cousins are impressed by the whole process. Tom Sanders gives the Ford an extra round with a different exposure for an even better image. “That way I can eliminate annoying reflections. It depends on the color of the car if that is necessary. "

In addition to companies, private owners of classic cars and motorcycles are an important target group for XYZ Imaging. Companies that want to present their products in a professional and distinctive way on the internet know how to find their way to XYZ-Imaging. There are therefore regularly art objects, special bicycles, designer furniture and even large tools in the spotlight at XYZ-Imaging.

Roger Muijrers is in any case won for the movable 3D photo. He also wants to upload it to the sites of the Taunus clubs in the Netherlands and Germany. And there is a good chance that he will come back again. Because he not only owns the green 12 M, a gift from his grandfather long ago. There are still a few Taunuses ready for restoration, such as a 15 M 'globe' from 1955.
