Purchasing classics there

In a world where classic cars are not just vehicles, but also storytellers, the DKW F12 Roadster shines like a rare jewel. This unique model, produced in just 2800 units in 1964, represents an era when design and technology came together in harmony.

Technical innovation and stylish design

The DKW F12 Roadster, derived from the DKW F12 sedan, was a technically innovative car for its time. With a larger three-cylinder two-stroke engine, it offered more power and a better riding experience. The longer wheelbase and wide track improved stability and handling, while the luxurious interior and stylish exterior made it a striking appearance.

A love story with the DKW F12

Jürgen, an enthusiast with a deep appreciation for DKW, fell in love with the DKW F12 Roadster through his wife's passion for this elegant model. His personal journey with the Roadster is one of dedication and love. After acquiring several copies, he began the careful process of restoration. His mission was not only to restore these cars, but also to preserve them as a symbol of their time and as a testament to his passion.

The end and rebirth of the DKW F12

The DKW F12 Roadster's journey has been one of ups and downs. Although a technically advanced model, Volkswagen's takeover of Auto Union in 1965 marked the end of production. This made the Roadster a rare and sought-after collector's item. For collectors like Jürgen, this not only represents a challenge, but also an opportunity to preserve a piece of history.

Symbols of perseverance and love

Jürgen's restored Roadsters, now in beautiful condition, are not just cars; they are symbols of perseverance, love and the eternal charm of classic vehicles. They represent a time when every ride was an adventure and every car had a story to tell.

  1. The DKW SP is also a beautiful car.
A bit of a T-bird in East German style.

As a 12 year old I met DKW with the Munga.
    Same 1 liter 3 burner in a 4×4 jeep.
    Nice sound, and quite strong,
We are writing in the late 80s, cycle cross was on its way out, and there was a disused track opposite the parental home.
Up the stairs, down the starting hill, across curves, great play for a 12 year old

  2. Yes Auto Union has released beautiful cars such as the F 12 and the SP coupe and the SP convertible, and much more, such as the pre-war cars from Auto Union, DKW Audi horch and Wanderer, which were beautiful cars, I myself have a successor to the DKW f8, after the Second World War the occupiers divided Germany in two, and everything that remained in East Germany from the Union car factories was further developed by East Germany with the material from the Union car, further developing the pre-war DKW f8 , and in the year 1949 the DKW IFA f8 was released until 1955 or 56 if I remember the history correctly, in the year 1952 if I'm not mistaken they were no longer allowed to use the name DKW and it was called IFA f8, which I myself have I have owned three DKW IFA f8s, two Cabriolets and a DKW IFA f8 limousine, which I still own. Unfortunately, I broke the engine last year and am currently overhauling it, hoping to have it ready to drive in the spring. Greetings to all the enthusiasts and may we enjoy our wonderful hobby for a long time to come
