The engine block was really overhauled. How long ago? Well, a year or 25-30. So that had to be a matter of starting and running. It didn't work.

The engine was one of a year or 70 young, from a time when tolerances and materials still…. Let's say 'were different'. All eventualities were checked. And the engine stayed far ******.

Until someone came to the conclusion to take the compression tester. The compression was almost nil. And that with a revised block.

A refurbished block is nicely oiled. After standing for a quarter of a century, there was not much left of the oil film and the splash lubrication was not such that the matter quickly became greasy again in the dark.

Some oil in the cylinder bores brought a solution. Compression increased after two batteries to almost six bars. And then when a shot of brake cleaner was given ...

In the meantime, the engine is running well and the owner is stress-free again
