We are all crazy about it, but how good are those brakes with 2, 4 or 8 rising shoes now?

That was the question after a ride on a motorcycle with a Robinson brake with 8 (!) Ascending shoes. The owner had been busy adjusting the case for a long time. And the brake worked great on the circuit.

On the public road, however, the beautiful masterpiece turned out to be unusable. At low speeds, the self-energizing effect of all those rising shoes worked so that the brake lever turned into an on / off button.

But the brake is no less beautiful.
Only you don't want to know what the owner has paid for it.
