M GmbH, BMW's motorsport overhaul, has ceased production of the BMW M6 immediately. Both the Coupé and the Cabriolet have been taken out of production.
The M5 had already been stopped earlier, meaning that no BMW with V10 engine is available. The new M5, which can be expected in the second half of 2011, will be powered by a V8 turbo engine. When the new M6 series is released, 'das Haus' has not (yet) announced.
