Purchasing classics there

We like to turn back the clock with this Ford Anglia that we found among all the shiny steel at Hofman Classics and Sportscars in Leek. Going back in time also means looking at the text of creative advertisements from that time.

The time balance was about the leakage that is lost when you have to travel by train or tram, which time leakage could be prevented by purchasing a Ford Anglia that could take care of all connections itself. With the growing prosperity after the Second World War, one could afford a small car, so be satisfied with what was called the time balance. The Ford Anglia has a long history, the first generation was already released in 1939 as the smallest model of Ford. This two-door Anglia was comparable to the larger four-door Ford Prefect. The car had four gears and an unladen weight of only 750 kg.

Is anything known about the history?

The RDW data show that the Anglia has been in the Netherlands since 1979. Because Hofman specializes in the purchase and sale of many special cars, it is certainly not always possible to trace the history. Is the term 'in new condition' or as 'good as new' appropriate for this Ford Anglia? The glossy paint, the beautiful interior, you can almost smell the 'new smell', so it seems to us an appropriate judgment.

Is the future of this Anglia known?

The internet is fun, especially when it comes to our car hobby. It brings the classic world to your home. This beautiful Ford Anglia was sold online (unseen!) to an enthusiast in the United States.

It's still fun to look at beautiful and special oldtimers/classics, even if you don't know the real history of the car. The real enthusiast enjoys being able to turn back the clock.
