The book entitled “Special Autokerkhoven” is full of unusual photos and stories. Of cars that have arrived at their final resting place. The photos could be included one by one in the section verkeerd afgelopen.
The authors Ard and Arnoud on the Weegh have delivered a beautiful book in A4 format. You can watch and read about it for hours about the fate of discarded cars. In total, attention is paid to four special resting places for our holy cows. Two of them have since been cleared and two are still intact. Although with the collection of the German artist you can't actually talk about a car graveyard but more about a unique collection. In honor of his 50 birthday, this man had given 50 cars from his birth year 1950 a gift. They were placed in his garden to be overgrown by nature.
Ard had found Minister Melanie Schultz-van Haegen of the Ministry of Infrastructure and the Environment willing to hand out the first two copies of this separate book. That ministry used to be known under the name of Transport, Public Works and Water Management. In her speech, she emphasized that in the future, a responsible mix of more asphalt and working differently must be carefully considered. The book is a publication of publisher De Alk BV from Alkmaar and the ISBN number is 978 90 60132432
