During the weekend of 15, 16 and 17 April - so from next Friday - the Classic Weekend will take place on Ameland. A maximum of 100 classic cars take part in this event, which has since become a must for enthusiasts. The Classic Weekend on Ameland itself is now also a classic, since the event is being held for the 19e time again.
The beautiful island of Ameland this year welcomes the maximum of 100 classic cars, which have a year of construction up to a maximum of 1978. For the locals and the tourists on the popular island, the classics will be on Saturday afternoon 16 April in the village of Nes.
On Friday evening the reception of the participants takes place and on Saturday the orientation trip over the island is made. That ride starts at 9 o'clock in the morning. In complete tranquility - or as the organization says - a classic pace, the islander kilometers will be covered. so that the participants can also devote a lot of time and attention to the beautiful surroundings. For the passers-by there is also the opportunity to capture the beautiful specimens while driving in peace.
It certainly promises to be a beautiful combination: classics in an idyllic island setting. It is not for nothing that the event was booked up at lightning speed. Registration is no longer possible, considering the reached maximum of 100 participants. It does not alter the fact that you can visit the island with your classic vehicle even as a non-participant.
