It is not enough to just bow slightly when you see this Honda N600, it has become a deep bow to the condition of this attractive compact car. The story behind the car is even more difficult to understand, because this spry Japanese car has been in a dry and heated garage for no less than 40 years. The designation 600 represents the capacity of the air-cooled engine that can easily keep up with traffic. The weight of 550 kg and the 42 horses are real, within 18 seconds you can reach 100 km per hour.

Due to the high price, purchase was not an option, but I did receive the information that a Honda N600 was being offered in new condition due to the death of the owner, I didn't need any more encouragement. Where can you find a classic in new condition? A car that is now exclusive and that you rarely see on the road anymore? The little man's limousine was a huge find for me.”

Part of the lifestyle

For Martin, the dwarf cars are part of his lifestyle, in addition to the small Fiat Topolino, the Messerschmitt, the BMW Isetta, this Honda N600 Touring is now on display. There are many enthusiasts who look fondly at these classics. Its small car selection also fulfills the need for social contact, at events you see old friends and make new ones. Being seen is just fun! Martin himself can put it succinctly: “My mood immediately improves when I get into the Honda N600 Touring.”

    • Yes, I remember that comic, but I don't know what it was called. It was either in Eppo or Tintin (1 of those 2 was in our reading folder and that sometimes changed). In 1 episode I thought it was converted to Lesatuo, with left and right handlebars. The student steered one way, the instructor the other, after which the car broke in two lengthwise (in any case the left wheel was turned to the left and the right to the right).

  2. I had one like that once. Experienced beautiful things. Well, I can tell you a lot about it, but what is still driving around is the rear axle under a trailer. The rest of that wonderful car is history. Sorry, let's shed a tear now...
