The world's oldest and most famous Jaguar XKE Roadster was damaged by a runaway Honda ...
The Goodwood Moving Show was suddenly confronted with a bad luck. The world's oldest Jaguar XKE Roadster - with the registration number 77RW - was hit by a runaway Honda Civic Type R Mugen whose driver lost consciousness.

The owner of the Honda drove down the aisle, bumped into the famous Jag and finally came to a halt against the wall of the exhibition hall. Miraculously, nobody was injured. The dark green Jaguar XKE, dating from 1961, has been owned by British businessman and Jaguar collector Michael Kigganon for 30 years, who bought the car for a few hundred pounds sterling at the time. He lends this piece of Jaguar heritage to Jaguar Heritage and is usually displayed in the museum. When the XKE was introduced at the Geneva Motor Show in March 1961, two roadsters were available to the press, one of which was therefore one. After that the car has served as press demonstrator and thus appeared in various leading articles. The other car at Geneva is a Fixed Head Coupe and carries the 9600 HP license plate.
