Just before the last one Citroen BXsen were finally going to be recycled… Enthusiasts have carefully discovered that good BXsen are fantastic cars and exemplary young timers.
We already heard in the corridors: “Being the Last Real Citroens. ”Of which deed.
The call from BXsen suffered enormously from the fact that these once-talked-about cars were significantly more maintenance-sensitive and are then any Japanese mid-sized car of the same time.
A BX (and a DS, an XM etc) punishes poor maintenance. For example, dozens of people came to a standstill with their third, fourth or fifth-hand BX. The repair always cost much more than the car was worth. And nobody thought that was worth the trouble.
And that was the end of yet another BX.
Today's survivors are usually the cars that have had a good life. And luckily there are companies such as Hesseling in Dirksland and Berben in Ulft who have the BX in their hearts.
Garage de l 'Est sometimes manages to find a ZGAN copy. And the time that you received a ZGAN BX for 1000 guilders? It is really over. So maybe it will all turn out fine.
The connoisseurs warn against the truly last produced ones. They are made on worn molds and the fit of the plate parts has been factory-optimized with ... Kit. And that while BXsen could already rust. All those leaking sealants ... But now we are becoming too critical again. But if you are a true enthusiast, and you are looking for a real BX, feel free to be critical. And bring a connoisseur or ask for a purchase advice from a specialist.
Let's see if there is another one in the meantime Citroen BX club is…
Heloas also has foal plastic on daai cars… so vergoan also takes foal to laank !!! 🙁
Emiel van der Vegt, I already wanted to say, I think I saw an advertisement for it. It is embarrassing that this article contains a picture of that car, while countless other BXes have been put on the sensitive plate that are still "alive".
The FJFJ10, which unfortunately went to the eternal BX fields last week, punctured head, worn brakes, tires worn, wishbone bearings completely on and rotted in all known places ...
"Let's see if there is a BX Club again…." Tsk. For about 15 years…. http://www.bxclub.nl
Real BX enthusiasts were there anyway. There are already those for Xantias.
I have a few more on offer.
