From 27 to 29 October, the third edition of CLASSICSNL will be held in the Leeuwarder WTC Expo. More than 18.000 square meters are made available to bring together classic owners and enthusiasts. CLASSICSNL offers a varied selection; from oldtimer to youngtimer, in different price ranges. The range will vary from exclusive classics to the current models of the past.
W198 Gullwing and Roadster
The organization has also devised an interesting main theme for this year. In collaboration with the Mercedes Benz Club Nederland, the organization puts the Mercedes Baureihe W198 in the limelight. The 300 SL Gullwing and Roadster will play a leading role. In addition, the Roadster is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year.
Auction in collaboration with Catawiki
This year, interested parties, who are in the market for a beautiful classic, can bid before and during CLASSICSNL on the range that will be accommodated in collaboration with Catawiki in Leeuwarden. The start of the auction will already take place on 20 October, and will end on 29 October. Candidates can bid on location during CLASSICSNL, but it is possible to do so online. In that case, interested parties can register via the Catawiki website.
Old faithful and new faces
If you look at the participants' field you will see a number of old faithful ones on the list. Carrosso, Gerard Kramer Classics, Cars, Cola and Coins and Cats from Witmarsum are now well-known names on CLASSICSNL. New exhibitors will also make their appearance in Leeuwarden, where, of course, space is again offered to clubs, private individuals, appraisers, insurers, cosmetic specialists, damage repairers and other sector-oriented organizations. Auto Motor Klassiek is of course also present.
Oldtimer parking place
If you come to the capital of Friesland with an old-timer, you can use the old-timer parking space. Near the entrance of the exhibition, the organization has made way for a limited number of classics. It is a nice addition that will carefully bring the other visitors into a genuine classic atmosphere.
Nobility required
Enthusiasts and candidates are well advised to note the dates 27, 28 and 29 October in the agenda. In the past two years, an excellent foundation has been laid under the Leeuwarder stock exchange. Because CLASSICSNL developed under the leadership of the now departed classic rapper Pieter Fokkema into more than a household name. That is why there is a major challenge for the current organization to deliver on the quality promise. Have been a Mercedes Benz fan since the beginning of the 1960. The 300SL in particular has lost nothing of its beauty. I still have original brochures of this type that were signed and colored at the time. I also have a scale model Corgi Toys the 300SL Roadster that I bought at the end of 1959.
