It is not known to many owners of a car of 15 years and older that there is a special Event arrangement. If your car is suspended, you can apply for this scheme.
It is then possible, at least during events recognized by the Tax Authorities, to drive for a few days without lifting the suspension of the car. Therefore, you do not have to pay taxes and the car does not have to be MOT approved. There are conditions attached to the scheme: the organizer must have notified the event to the tax authorities at least two months in advance. You can also participate in a maximum of four such events and the number of days per calendar year is a maximum of six. The car must of course be insured and used only for the purpose of the event.
