The year of construction is 1953, this model was built from 1946. The engine is an air-cooled two-cylinder boxer (Fiat-twin) 850 cc with 38 HP. The four-speed gearbox is manual and the Panhard Dyna X has front-wheel drive. The chassis is made of steel and the body consists of sheet metal made of aluminum on a cast aluminum frame while the mudguards are made of steel. 

It has the original color bronze green (Vert Bronze). The brand is Panhard & Levassor, which, as you know, is one of the oldest car brands in the world. For the owner a magical car, there is admiration for the excellent paint job done by Dijkstra in Slochteren and the upholstery by Tim van der Heuvel in Wildervank. 

A rare Panhard Dyna X that deserves to be on Auto Motor Klassiek to appear.

  1. Nice article about the Panhard, but with a flat twin and certainly no Fiat engine. The engine has, I thought, no loose cylinder heads. The heads are integral with the cylinders. So there are no head gaskets that can leak. 50 years ago I was friends with an English engineer who had some of these motorcycle blocks in Douglas motorcycles
    built. A BMW R69 was nothing …….

    PS had these engine blocks I thought torsion bar valve springs?

    • Yes, correct, Panhard made their engines themselves.
      And the valve springs were / are indeed a short torsion bar that protrudes nicely outside the valve cover.
      My 1952 Panhard “K-series” Break, was sold to a Canadian restoration shop, At the “Concourse D'Lemon” in Monterey ((in the Classic car week prior to the “Pebble Beach” Concourse)) that whole “sale / sales ”filmed flawlessly and is on YouTube 😃
