To mark the thirtieth anniversary of the Peugeot 205, the club organized a special party with the aim of getting at least 205 copies of these popular classics together. An initiative that was more than successful.
Eventually the counter stopped at 242 cars. The result was a very varied field of participants where at least all seven body styles could be seen together. Including the Fourgonette and the T16 (later in the day even 2 T16s when a visitor arrived while driving!). The complete series from 201 to 208 was also present.
Unique were the M24, the first prototype of the 205 from 1977 which was specially refurbished and loaned by the Peugeot Museum for this occasion and was therefore visible to the general public for the first time, and the 205 Nepala, a Belgian design as an example for a possible 205 break. After a beautiful tour through the area, there was “written with cars” to arrive at the text “30 years 205”.
Back at host Visscher Peugeot in Culemborg, the winners in the concours de elegance, judged by the enthusiastic enthusiasts Matthijs van Dijk and Joost Vermeer (Peugeot Netherlands), were announced:
