Summer heat…

Purchasing classics there

What we needed two days a week ago, we will pick that up later on, but 1 afternoon: almost forty degrees.

Because we are not used to that, just a few reminders:

Do not park the car in full sun. The sheet metal (especially with dark colored cars) can become so hot that you can bake an egg on it. Hotter than a likes or 70 so, because at that temperature protein starts to coagulate. What the egg thinks about this is not clear. But the heat is not good for the paint.

In the car the temperature can rise to + 60 degrees. And that is a reason for your dog left behind in the car to become a hot dog first, but then definitively an ex dog.

As a side note, we mention that dogs are not the most optimally functioning devices from a thermal point of view.

Place a few pieces of newspaper on the dashboard, handlebars and seats.

After boarding and starting, go on the road immediately. 'Blowing through' in the parking lot hardly works.

And if you have a convertible: Then act like the Americans. Close the convertible top until the sun sets and let the engine run and the air conditioning roar when you go shopping.

A closer look: we cannot get away with the latter advice in NL.
