Melkus. DDR's only real sports car from 1969 is definitely history. Although: what is final?
Sepp Melkus failed to reboot to preserve his grandfather's legacy. The new Melkus, which was modeled on the chassis of a Lotus Elite, did not make it. Part two of the Melkus history lasted from 2006 to now. The new Melkussen, made from 2009, were nowhere near the planned production numbers.
But new investors are being sought. And if it succeeds, it will be Chinese again.
