The blessings of plastics are countless. The number of gray hairs that plastics have given us too. And then we are not even talking about the plestik soup in the Atlantic or any other ocean.
Our problems are caused by the plasticizers and UV radiation. The plasticizers disappear, for example, from the plastic covering of panels or chairs. This results in hardening, cracking or shrinking.
If that shrinkage occurs at the edges, for example at the top of the doors, at the bottom of the windows 190´er Mercedes, then there is often something to fiddle with a strip of glued material or a very thin piece of - plastic angle line.
If the shrinkage occurs at a 'glued-in corner', then the material pulls itself away from the background and comes, tight as a drumhead between the places where it is still stuck. That looks sad. And is not easy to solve.
When searching for solutions, we ended up with the doctor ... Dr.Vinyl. Dr. Vinyl is a franchise provider that has existed for forty years and started in the US from A but is also active in the Netherlands.
We sent a photo of the phenomenon and received a prompt reply. The problem that surprised us was known to the doctor:
