"Captain America" was sold this fall by Profiles in History auctioneers for 1,35 million dollars. And "Captain America" is the Harley chopper that Peter Fonda rode in Easy Rider.

At the time, two identical "Captain America" motorcycles were built based on 1962'er police motorcycles. One of them has been stolen and is still missing. The auctioned copy was the engine that was severely damaged in the final scene. The wreck was taken over by a local engine key-man and sold in 1996 with a Certificate of Authenticity. The man offered the same machine in 2002. Fortunately again with Certificate of Authenticity. It was offered for auction.
Confusion grew when the owner of the first engine sold also reported with his Certificate of Authenticity. But the bidding was no less.
Now just wait for the numbers 3 and 4 ...
