Searching for parts is becoming easier on the Internet. The most serious providers now usually have the complete - or if they are still working on it - the almost complete line of workshop manuals for their brand online.
And that saves a lot of hassle, mail, calls and misunderstandings. Because you simply order via the part number that the manufacturer once devised as the original. Fantastic. Guzzi specialist Lamers and Nippon specialist CMSNL mainly use this tool because they could sell worldwide via the Internet. At TLM, that story also applies to the Used Parts Store.
We now know from our own experience that the manual for the Moto Guzzi SP3 contains a funny mistake. Ex works. But by comparing text images and numbers with each other the matter becomes clear. If two cockpit supports are drawn at position 9 and ten and both are referred to as 'right support' in the list, this is Italian. Because behind the two different right supports there are fortunately two different order numbers.
And so everything went well. And we learned that the Internet may lead to misunderstandings, but that everything that is printed can not be swallowed 100% as well.
But staying awake always pays.
