Anyone who has ever driven an elderly Land Rover will be able to confirm that such an ultimate 4 × 4 has a heavy steering. However, they can steer even more heavily. This is mostly because the oil in the auxiliary steering box is no longer present or is not at the correct level. That will ultimately lead to maximum wear and replacement. Check and top up if necessary. Greasing all nipples is also necessary. Every 1.500 kilometer, depending on the year of construction. Consult your workshop manual.
