This weekend the Oldtimer & Classic Beurs Leek will be organized for the 23rd time in Sportcentrum Leek. The always pleasant, busy and successful fair will be held from Friday 12 to Sunday 14 October in the two large halls of the sports complex. Organizer Anton Rosema has once again succeeded in filling more than 8000 m2 with classic motorcycles, cars and the necessary automobilia.
According to tradition, a large number of clubs is present. PATAN, the A-Ford club, MG Noord, the Ford Taunus M Club, Veterans motor club Roadster, the Veterans Motor Club, KJMV motor club, the Borgward club, the Pioneer Automobiles club and the HAV, among others, liven the halls in Leek. They display beautiful heritage again. In Leek, visitors will also discover new exhibition components. The caravan club with small caravans and beautiful vintage cars will make its appearance. Furthermore, fans of classic Volvo cars will find what they are looking for, because Leek has created space for a stand with beautiful Volvo cars. In addition, various private individuals will also be present with their vehicles.
Bentley Le Mans, 1947
The organization demands special attention for the presence of the Bentley Le Mans 6 cylinder 130 PK from 1947. A rare classic, restored with a very high degree of perfection. Some rallies have also been driven with this car. The Veteranen Motor Club is launching a special series of 4 cylinder engines from before 1940. It also applies to motorcycle enthusiasts that they may welcome beautiful two-wheeler history.
Theme square: French company car history
The French theme square has been a fixture of the Oldtimer and Classic Beurs for years. The brand clubs (Peugeot, Citroèn, Renault and others) this year present a stand with 25 commercial vehicles and their derivatives. One of those historic company cars is a special one Citroën passenger bus from the thirties. The theme square with the French tricolor is certainly one of the highlights for the enthusiast. Every year the organization manages to make something special out of this stand.
Diverse commercial offer
Of course, the 23e Oldtimer and Classicbeurs again offers room for professional classic traders who take their commercial offer to Leek. Stands with parts, thumbnails, documentation, tools and other vintage related items will also be available at the Leek Sports Center.
Nice combination with Cars and Coffee at Hofman on Saturday
Anyone who decides to travel to Leek on Saturday can combine the trip with the latest 2018 edition of Cars and Coffee at Hofman. Over the past few years, the encounter has grown into a major meeting. The October edition coincides nicely with the Oldtimer and Classicbeurs in the Leekster Sportcentrum, an excellent combination that contributes to enhancing the classic experience in Leek. The 23-e edition of the Oldtimer and Classicbeurs will again be a cozy and beautiful spectacle, which will be colored in with live music, good catering facilities and ... free parking spaces.
