From a petrol consumption of 1 on 15 to 1 on 5 and back. A well-maintained classic can also cause problems. It rarely happens, but still ...
For example, the BX 1400 of one of our employees started running the fuel consumption to 1 on 5. That the good BX smoked like an old ship's diesel, that was until now. But at the start he blew out so much that he noticed his starting point with a black spot on the road at every start.
At the Ulft garage where the BX is cherished, the cause of the sudden thirst was quickly found: the lambda probe had given up and, out of sheer bouts, constantly informed the BX's Brain that the mixture was too poor. The part appeared in a fur coat of soot particles.
The problem was solved by mounting a ZGAN probe from the secret storage compartment with used parts.
Now the BX does its job again in an exemplary way and without complaints.
And what that 'work' of the BX already entails?
Well, a picture says more than 1000 words.
So when your classic suddenly starts drinking like a Templar?
