BMW Improvement

Purchasing classics there

Once there was the 'home improvement' program. Maurice Hünen from Brunsum opted for BMW improvement.

Reader Maurice Hünen from Brunsum once started with a blue BMW R45 / 5. After about twelve years, it still grew in a standard look neo classic to 650 cc, has double ignition and about a million other technical modifications, including Xenon lighting, self-made and programmable ignition, a cleverly calculated expansion connection pot between the exhaust pipes and so on and so on.

Maurice is not about slick caferacer looks, Maurice is about technology. But in the bronze-green Limburg region, a great deal has been said about motorized owners of fat 'naked bikes' and super sports bicycles, in a confrontation with 'Blauwtje'.

And if everything is pretty much done, and the block is actually in need of overhaul (or replacement with larger ones), then as a rastechneut you do a modification that the BMW itself should have done: You make a oil filler cap on a valve cover.

An absolute must. The stainless steel filler plug is fixed with a clamp fit and Bison metal glue.
