The Classic Event Waregem, billed as an unmissable autumn event for every self-respecting 'classic car enthusiast', will take place at Waregem Expo from 1 to 3 December 2023. This three-day event promises to be a spectacular experience with a rich variety of activities, exhibitions and unique cars.
A weekend full of classic beauty and history
From Friday afternoon to Sunday evening, the Waregem Expo will be the center of attention for classic car enthusiasts. Doors open on Friday from 16:00 PM to 22:00 PM, while the weekend continues with opening hours from 10:00 AM to 18:00 PM. These extended times offer visitors the opportunity to fully enjoy everything the event has to offer.
Legendary vehicles and untold stories
At the 'Place m'as-tu vu', the main location of the event, there are five examples of the Bugatti Type 35, a car that was produced between 1924 and 1930 and won more than 1000 races. This model also won the Targa Florio five years in a row, confirming its status as a racing icon.
Another notable attendee is the Citroën SM Bonneville, a unique car that set a speed record on the Bonneville Salt Flats. This car is special not only because of its performance, but also because of the way it was transported: on a custom-made trailer, pulled by another Citroën sm.
Special vehicles and their stories
A standout means of transport at the event is the COE Bugatti race transporter, a converted Chevrolet 'Cab over engine' used to transport vintage Bugatti racers. This unique vehicle is sure to catch the attention of car enthusiasts.
Also on display is a 220 Mercedes-Benz 1964 SEb Cabriolet, once owned by the infamous New York gangster Pasquale “Pat” di Cicco, a friend of Frank Sinatra. This car adds an extra layer of intrigue and history to the event.

In the 'Rue des Artistes', visitors can enjoy a variety of automotive works of art, such as photography, pen drawings, paintings, cartoons and art prints. This is also an ideal place to find a unique end-of-year gift.

For years I went on a business trip on Father's Day because then there was one Citroën meeting in Massachusetts. The guys from SM WORLD were also there regularly. Special professionals. Also once saw their ICE RACER with a large wing on top of the roof.
There is a very lively one Citroën club, a man with an Ami, no not the electric one, came from Seattle and was on the road for 6 days.
