A rare moment in the world of classic cars occurs: a legendary 1962 Ferrari 330 LM/250 GTO with chassis number 3765 is up for auction at RM Sotheby's during Sotheby's Modern and Contemporary Art marquee sale in New York on November 13, 2023.
This particular model is the only works Series I GTO ever raced by Scuderia Ferrari and has a rich racing history. It achieved a class win and second place overall at the 1,000 Nürburgring 1962 KM. In addition, it was raced by Mike Parkes and Lorenzo Bandini for Scuderia Ferrari at the 24 1962 Hours of Le Mans. The car was also the runner-up in the 1965 Sicilian Hillclimb Championship.

In 2011, it placed second in the GTO class at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, among 23 GTOs. In addition, it won Best of Show at the Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance and a Blue Ribbon at the Meadow Brook Concours d'Elegance.
