Because on your classic sidecar combination you have considerably less chance of falling, attracts more attention in the winter than three that Rob de Nijs did with his Harley on summer days and you still experience the elements as if you just enjoy motorcycling. Heated gloves are our secret tip. And if the dynamo / battery capacity of your classic span is not sufficient for such festivities?
Then you just get the cheapest car battery that you can find, put it in the span and get the power for the electric gloves from that power box. For winter riders, the purchase of a combination with boxer engine is far from the most convenient. The protruding cylinders keep the feet warmer.

* In connection with European directives it is mandatory that motorcycles with a sidecar get a vehicle category L4e in the RDW vehicle registration register and motorcycles without a sidecar L3e

Motorcycles with a sidecar with a date of first authorization (DET) from before 30 April 2009 are usually not registered as a motorcycle with a sidecar. If the RDW is not aware of the sidecar construction or removal in the past, the motorcycle may have been registered incorrectly.

• Motorcycles with a removable side car

If the sidecar is detachable from your motorcycle, you can indicate this on the web form. Motorcycles with a detachable sidecar should also have the vehicle category L4e (with sidecar), but will then be indicated in the vehicle registration register that use without sidecar is permitted. The mention of a sidecar will not be mentioned on the registration certificate. You can, however, after the listing your vehicle data If you enter the license plate number, you will see the vehicle category after the letter 'J'. The details are under the 'details' tab.

If you do not register the vehicle category of the vehicle correctly, this can have consequences during roadside checks by the police (also abroad). This means you cannot legally drive a classic sidecar.
