Cuby and the Blizzards
If you watch the nostalgic videos, you will see the band members regularly loading their instruments into the well-known VW Split Bus, later in a Ford Transit to go to performances. As the reputation increased, transport was often individual and Cuby drove the Peugeot together with Erwin Java – who played in the band for over 25 years – from Groningen via Rolde, where Cuby lived, to go to performances.
The story of the Peugeot
Hans Vons of the C & B museum gave us enthusiastic and exclusive information: “No, Harry wasn't behind the wheel, because he didn't have a driver's license at all. Of course he secretly drove on the motorcycle and in his own car, the police knew about it, but often looked the other way. A car, but no driver's license ... well, it was Harry. The French car actually belonged to Erwin Java, but the trips went together. It is clear that it has been used a lot, and that there was a lot of talk in the Peugeot too, but not … about music! Harry was a well-read man and had a great interest in listening to classical music. “
Last ride in 2011
The old faithful Peugeot has made a lot of trips through the Netherlands, the last trip was on May 28, 2011 to a performance in Calypso in Wijk bij Duurstede. Harry was already ill by then, and the performances after that were cancelled. He was able to pick himself up one more time for the last performance: Greetings from Grolloo in the village of the same name on June 11, 2011, and the circle was now complete. Harry Muskee passed away September 26, 2011.

The Peugeot did not improve and Erwin Java made a warm gesture to donate the car to the museum. The Peugeot written off? No, certainly not in this case, the memory remains. It is no longer just a means of transport, it is part of the blues life of Harry & Erwin, a life full of beautiful experiences. We do not bring back the history, but the good memories in which this Peugeot 406 plays a role. As long as it is possible, the Peugeot 406 will remain next to the museum where Harry can look at it through the large wall photo, and maybe chuckle: "We've been through a lot together, haven't we?"

Qualitatively, the Peugeots from the 90s were still fine.
My uncle had a 406, it was scrapped with 460.000 km, not because it was worn out, but because the right flank was completely damaged from front to back in an accident.
Of the 406, especially the coupe was a tasteful model.
After the 90s, Peugeot's reliability deteriorated rapidly, and not just Peugeot's, by the way.
Now I have to say, I drive a 2006 Berlingo, a 2 liter diesel, and the thing has never let me down mechanically…..
