You did this, for example, by hiding a pebble behind one of the front and rear hubcaps. If one pebble was found with relief, you always had the pleasure of the second one. Also always fun: throwing a ping-pong ball into the tank opening. There's a good chance that it rolled through to the gas tank at the time. And then you had another inexplicable rattle, but only when the tank was almost empty and the ping-pong ball kept hitting the bottom of the tank... Nice! This is how you made friends for life. That was almost as fun as smearing Vaseline on someone's windshield wiper blades...
