Ford Custom (1967): A 'stop sign' for Han Holman

Purchasing classics there

The admiration for American cars was fueled by Han Holman's travels through the USA. He loves the culture of the fifties & sixties and now imports generously sized USA classics. The virus misery keeps him at home for a while, but he can now enjoy the asphalt-wide cars that he has at home. A good example is his Ford Custom 'police interceptor' from Arizona.

By: Dirk de Jong

The sheriff is a public administrator and chief of the local and regional police in America. His Ford Custom was not an official service vehicle, but it was completely dressed as a police car. Easily recognizable by its extra lights and a bright sound of the siren in which you immediately recognize the American police car. The police helmet, the stickers (Call 911), of course the crook in the back and the dangerous K9 (dog) makes the car complete as a showcar.

Task package

Han: “The duties are the same as our police, only the enforcement action differs enormously from our uncle officer. Debating or arguing is not a good idea, the handcuffs are always close by (and so are the weapons). In Arizona, the Ford Custom was used for fun rides with guests or participating in shows. His location was also a car museum. ”

What's the great thing about an American?

Ride and enjoy, contact with people who have the same interest. Enthusiasm has no taste if you can't share it with others. When Han gets the 'stop sign', people can enjoy themselves for a while and touch the car, take pictures or even sit in it for a while. Then it is enjoyment when others enjoy.

  1. A 67 Custom 500 was my first car in Vancouver, an ex Matsqui RCMP ghost car. I
have driven there for 13 years without any problems, plus my family from the Netherlands who do quite often
been here, enjoyed it too. It had 2 tons, freeway miles. You can still see them here now and then. The 4 door custom was not special enough to keep, while the coupes and Galaxy versions are in demand. How nice to see my first car in YVR again. I hated it in 76. It was covered with all kinds of things, but mostly under it. Different suspension, bigger brakes, thick stabilizers, transmission oil cooler. Was also economical.
Thank you Gentlemen for these pictures,

    Bass.
