The story of Dirk Droessaert and his 1959 Moto Guzzi Falcone, coupled to a Steib sidecar, started fifteen years ago. Passion for Moto Guzzi
Dirk's love for Moto Guzzi is deep-rooted. His collection has approximately 350 models, including a GT850 from the 750s. Dirk's adventure with motorcycles is diverse: from Japanese models to Nortons and a BSA for classic cross. His choice ultimately fell on Moto Guzzi, partly due to the advice against a Laverda SF3 and the recommendation for a Moto Guzzi California TXNUMX.
The sidecar adventures begin
Dirk and his wife Rita enjoyed many touring and vintage car rides together on the Moto Guzzi Falcone. Their wedding day, during which Rita was driven to the town hall in a sidecar, further stimulated interest in sidecars. Dirk found a Steib sidecar in the Netherlands that matched the Falcone perfectly and had it painted in the same striking red color.

Despite some adjustments for better performance, such as a modified rear brake and a different Dell'Orto carburetor, Dirk retained the authentic charm. However, after years of problem-free driving, Dirk encountered some technical setbacks, including a defective ignition. A thorough overhaul ensured that the Falcone functioned smoothly again.

In addition to the Falcone with Steib sidecar, Dirk also owns a Moto Guzzi V7 with a BP56 sidecar.
