An Austin Allegro is a nice car. Okay, it took tens of years before you could say something like that without being taken straight into a straitjacket, but still.
The Austin Allegro's (soon referred to as 'Ellendros' in Germany) were the victims of the sad upheaval that prevailed in the English auto industry in their time. And that could not even make up for the funny 'square' steering wheel.
The cars were put together between two strikes and a tea break without any involvement by the employees of the emergency industry. Otherwise we cannot call it.
Even the brochures were not coveted.
Now that Austin Allegro's scarce survivors have survived their difficult birth and a whole series of teething problems, they can only show what kind of nice cars they are.
