Autoveteranenclub De Fryske Wâlden brings together from 10 until December 13 an impressive collection of vintage cars in the former showroom of Peugeot dealer Haaima in Leeuwarden. There is a very special aspect to the organization of the event. The entire proceeds will be made available to the Food Bank Leeuwarden. We believe that this is a particularly praiseworthy and solidary principle. It is not the first time that the exceptionally active club organizes an event for the benefit of a good cause.
Beautiful heritage collection
The contours of the collection of vintage cars are visible in the run-up to the event. The Autoveteranenclub brings beautiful cars to the former Peugeot showroom on the Saturnusweg in Leeuwarden. Mercedes-Benz fans are well catered for thanks to the presence of an Adenauer Benz, type 300 A. Also a few Fiat Topolino's - including a beautiful Belvedere, a Borgward Isabella, an Opel Kadett A, a few Opel Kapitäns, a Citroën Traction Avant Commerciale and one Citroën Rosalie - pre-war - have already found their place in the former home for new and used Peugeots. And talking about older Peugeots: Auto Haaima - owner of the location which is made available free of charge - takes some beautiful historical examples with the lion logo to the event. The lover of classic Americans can also dream away for a while to see that the possibilities in America were really limitless. The presence of a Ford De Luxe and a Buick Eight launch the visitor in a nostalgic time machine.
Trots
Geale de Haan - Secretary of the Frisian Club - is proud to bring this collection together, certainly in view of the purpose with which it happens. “Thanks to our wonderful hobby, we want and can do something beautiful for those who simply need it. "
