Purchasing classics there

With the TT weekend - and today's almost beautiful weather - ahead, we are motorcycle focused.

And with a couple of rather strange classics in the stables, you end up just like parts hunting in ... China.

Eventually the stuff will be arranged through Richard Busweiler from Genemuiden, but just dreaming away in the Chinese biker and PR scene is endearing.

And then we are talking about the Fat Chinese, the Chiang Jangs (the Yellow River). Those distant descendants of BMW's pre-war R71 and their later Russian M72 clones are still daily transportation for whole tribes in China.

But things are going better in China on the left and on the right and the - often former army - engines are given a cautious cult status.

That also means that you no longer see them under uniformized buttocks of government employees.

And that is endearing.
