We are almost certain that you have never seen an Estate version of a Hillman Imp in your life. We neither. Until recently. In the British town of Renfrew - a sloppy 10 kilometer to the west of Glasgow can be found on the map - we traced the copy shown here. Anno 1969. As you know, the Imp was produced in Scotland with a rich subsidy from the British government. A completely new factory was built for this purpose in Linwood. The owner of the Estate we traced did not really know much about his 'beauty' (…), otherwise he bought the car in North Wales. He suspects it is a replica of a factory prototype. Further inspection showed that the man who made this thing must have had very special gifts. It must certainly not have been a 'craftsman'!

Considering the craftsmanship, it seems almost impossible that a (handy) hobbyist has realized this creation ...
