The Opel Kadett C was a great success for the General Motors car giant at the time. Its handling and handling were excellent and the comfort also scored very high. The big sales figures were the proof. And that has remained that way, yes now even more, they now distinguish themselves from the gray matter. For the design of the past and for the classic driving pleasure.

Dikkie fell for the sporty appearance of the coupé very early on and bought his first bright yellow Opel Kadett C Coupé, the well-known C 2 type. After 28 years, this red coupé came into the picture, which came on the license plate for him in 1998, now also 22 years ago.
Thorough approach
To achieve a good result, the Opel Kadett C Coupe be thoroughly addressed. There was a lot of welding and the two fenders were replaced by new original fenders. The body was also sanded bare and repainted in the original color with a clear coat over it for a glossy result. The 1200 N engine was still running like a charm and extra attention was not necessary there.
Captured in photos
All activities were accurately captured on photos. Including the visit of the fire brigade, during the welding work a petrol pipe was hit which immediately caught fire. Rapid action prevented worse.
Share with others
Dikkie now shares the beauty and pleasure with others when he takes short rides in the area in good weather, whereby he has also made his son enthusiastic about the purchase of a Kadett Coupé, which is now waiting in the garage for his new life. Sometimes 'waiting' means: no time, no space and no money. But they are obsessed with saving the car together in the near future. With every ride Dikkie de Kadett brings back the success story of the early years. Despite its age, it still has many followers, he notices when he goes out with his 43-year-old Opel Kadett Coupé.

Yes, nice that coup. My City SR (my first car, with a grant from grandma) had the same nose and what immediately brought me back to these pictures is the enormous space in front of that block. You could stand on either side of it in the engine compartment.
If I am correct, the type below, with the clignoteurs next to the headlights, is also supplied with the 1600 Ascona engine.
A former neighbor had one in a City sheet.
Always nice, an opel over 30 years old. (self; completely original Monza GSE 1984) I have a very nice picture of it but unfortunately you cannot show it in comment. Be careful with it because you will get more and more view.
Same rims as the A = Manta, which I find much nicer by the way ...
Have been driving a kadett C32 for 2 years
