A Tickford Ford

ER Classics Desktop 2022

A Tickford Ford. That sounds strange. But we recently saw one. And then you still go to search ...

The company apparently has been around for more than a century and a half. And the Tickford Turbo Capri that we saw was just a mild example of what the company has done, even for the most renowned brands.

The Tickford Ford Capri with the Aston Martin logo (from 1984, before that the case was officially sponsored by Ford, and the logos mentioned that too. Later Aston Martin and Tickford were inside a company), it was all about more torque. To this end, an IHI RHB6 turbo and a Garrett AiResearch intercooler were installed. This approach required a serious conversion of the engine compartment.

That the top speed was at such an 225 km / h was a nice bonus.

We will dive deeper into the history of Tickford. And if you have one, you can report.
