When you look outside it is hard to imagine that it was fully winter a few days ago. Of course that wasn't just bad luck. How often can you enjoy natural ice again in the Netherlands? But admittedly, in the winter conditions there were also a number of inconveniences.
A lot of people will now breathe a sigh of relief and most classic car owners will think about taking the car out of winter storage. Most of the cars are indoors, not the MG in the picture. Owner Gerard said last Saturday that he is not a fan of ice skating. But he does not turn his hand to take the beautiful MG B for a nice ride. From his heated car he looked with pleasure at the beautiful Dutch landscape and the people enjoying themselves on the frozen canals with their skates. Because it is not often possible to make such beautiful pictures, I thought it would be a nice idea to put some of Gerard's photos on the AMK site. Because he has used his car regularly, he does not have to worry about starting problems in the spring. It does not suffer from rusted tips or stale petrol. Also his brakes will not be stuck.
