Get your motorcycle license in winter. Is that a good idea?
If people say you are crazy to get your motorcycle license after the age of XNUMX, the best way to confirm their suspicions is to do so in the winter. But you don't even have to be over fifty. Getting the motorcycle license in winter is very easy with the current climatic conditions and with the current motorcycle clothing.
You only learn to drive in the winter!
And learning to drive in the winter saves you a continuing training course. Because if you learned to ride in the winter, you know what motorcycle riding is and what a motorcycle does under sub optimal conditions. And your evening classes? Driving in the dark? They can be done in the winter from around four o'clock. Of course you have to dress up, but that is even positive, after the season many motorcycle shops have everything on offer. The man with whom we started the story even bought heated motorcycle gloves for a very reasonable price. And let his lesson engine now also have a suitable plug connection for those comfort boosters!
In addition, there are no waiting times at the CBR in the summer, and after getting the A you still have a very fantastic motorcycle season ahead of you instead of not driving six months after getting your driver's license because you have the entire summer spent on classes.
Tips for motorcycle lessons in the winter
- Provide warm clothing: multiple layers, a scarf, thick socks and possibly thermal clothing.
- Do not do emergency training in the winter! You can just have the misfortune that it is the old-fashioned winter of the two weeks of your study and almost all lessons are canceled. Then in terms of lessons you do not make it for the practical exam and your driving training suddenly costs much more money than planned.
- Only plan your traffic participation exam once you have passed the vehicle control exam. Without this exam you are not allowed to take the AVD exam, and it can happen that your AVB exam is moved for a few weeks, so you cannot take the exam on time. Then you are not allowed to participate in the planned traffic participation exam, and you can only get your money back if you cancel three weeks in advance.
Motorcycle lessons in winter is very good for your long-term practical skills and the waiting times at the CBR are nice and short. Make sure you are well dressed and take into account the chance of canceled lessons.
And of course you can make a slider once. But that is also possible with a driver's license. And once you have learned in the winter, there will be a lot of winters with the best hits
And if I look outside now ...
Then I say: "Do it!"
