Ford Consul Classic, do you remember them?
The range of parts that the British Ford Classic Consul & Classic Consul Capri Club can provide for these two models is more than impressive. Both models were only briefly in production, namely in 1963 and 1964.

In addition to a wide range of mechanical parts - which are in many cases interchangeable with the Ford Anglia and Cortina - it is mainly the sheet metal parts that are interesting. Repair panels for the front and rear screens, exterior and interior sills, floor panels, etc. So if you need anything, it is important to become a member of that association after which you will have access to the warehouses. 1. Dear editors,
Very nice that attention is paid to this, I myself have been a member of it for years since I bought an 2002 door Ford Consul 4 in 315 and started restoring it. After 4 years of work, he now also drives around 4 year without any problems.

My car is from 1961 and the total production period for all Ford Consul Classics / Consul 315's ran from 1961 to 1964. This is in contrast to the production date of 1963-1964 that you mentioned.

For the sake of completeness the following info:
In England the car was called Ford Consul Classic and in the rest of the world Ford Consul 315. This type is supplied in various body styles in 3: 4-door saloon, 2-door saloon and 2-door coupe (the Capri).

The first series ran from April 1961 to August 1962 and was delivered with 1340 cc engine (enlarged 1198 cc Anglia 105E engine)
From 28 July 1962 to September 1963, the Consul Classic was delivered with an 1500 cc engine (replacing the 1340 cc engine)
From July 1961 to August 1962, the Capri model is supplied with an 1340 cc engine
From July 1962 to September 1963, the Capri model is supplied with an 1500 cc engine
From February 1963 to July 1964, the Capri GT model is supplied with an 1500 cc engine.

Good sites to look at http://www.fccoc.org.uk en http://www.cersten.de/fcccp-e/index.htm

I hope to have served you with this.

    Yours faithfully,

    Nick Wessels
